Demo of One Piece Odyssey – A Gamer's Perspective

One Piece Odyssey, the new turn-based RPG game based on the hit anime series ‘One Piece’, just released their demo today. I had the chance to play through it and here’s my take on the game. If you’re a fan of One Piece or a fan of turn-based RPGs in general, then this is definitely worth checking out!

The game has some great features and feels like an authentic One Piece experience. The turn-based battles are fun and engaging, with a nice mix of strategy and luck. You can also use special abilities that add extra excitement to each battle. Plus, there’s plenty of story and banter between characters which adds depth to the game.

The demo is just a small part of the full game so things are still simple – but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It was enjoyable to get an insight into how the story will unravel and what kinds of exciting events we can expect as we progress further into the game. For example, there’s one scene where these birds are trying to eat Usopp and you have to rescue him! It's cool to see these types of events even in a turn-based RPG.

Overall, I would give this demo an 8/10 rating - it was fun and I look forward to playing more when the full version comes out later this year.
